Scope: The project consisted of the renovation of approximately 22,120 SF of a 100+ year old classroom area as well as an abandoned in-ground swimming pool. The indoor pool was in-filled and capped to create additional floor space used for the development of gross motor skills for preschool aged children. The existing classroom space was completely demolished including walls, ceilings, and associated finishes to allow for the construction of the new and improved classrooms. The East and West entrances included structural steel canopies with preformed metal roofing in addition to the new accessible sidewalks, retaining walls, and railings.
Self-Performed Services: Selective demolition, swimming pool in-fill, formed & poured concrete walls, structural steel canopies with preformed metal roofing, steel guardrails/handrails, HM frames, wood doors hardware, acoustical ceilings with insulation, miscellaneous division 10 including marker boards/tack boards, restroom accessories, fire extinguishers and cabinets
