Scope: A complete renovation/alteration of an existing building located in downtown Mt. Vernon. The structure was constructed in 1958 of Type 2B steel and concrete construction. The newly renovated building is for the educational uses for the Dept. of Engineering at MVNU. The scope included the demolition of existing HVAC & Electrical systems, elevator cab and all mechanical components, existing storefront, as well as various interior ceilings and partitions for new code compliant systems, new classrooms, demonstration and shop fabrication labs, study areas, offices and restrooms. 2 floors above grade and 1 floor below grade – less than 5,000 SF per floor.
