Scope: As one of the oldest working fire stations in America and settled within a flood plain, the Shelby Fire Department was in dire need of a new fire station. Their new 13,000 SF building is much larger and consists of 4 bunk rooms, a community room and kitchen, decontamination room, turn-out gear room, laundry area, showers and locker rooms, 5 drive-thru apparatus bays including a signature hose tower for raising hoses after a fire to let them dry.
Self-Performed Work: Sitework, foundations, reinforced steel, utilities, structural steel, decorative metals, Nucor metal building erection, finish carpentry, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, doors, frames and hardware.
