About the Westfield Inn Renovation
The Westfield Inn is a historic building in the quaint Village of Westfield Center. The Inn consists of three buildings: one that serves as the main entrance and guest center, and two adjacent buildings comprised of guest rooms and suites. Several years of planning were put forth to elevate the guest experience within the three buildings, which resulted in the Westfield Inn Renovation project. The Westfield Inn chose Simonson Construction Services, Inc. as its Design-Build lead for the project.
Phased Renovation
The renovation of the three buildings was performed in two phases. In the first phase, the western and central buildings were renovated. These spaces consisted of 35 guest rooms and suites, and accommodations in the common area including a renovated bar, reception area, and lounge. The guest services center was transformed into an open concept of integrated design elements. Enhancements include custom walnut cabinetry, black and white Italian marble floors, and chandelier lighting. Each guest room and suite received top-to-bottom updates, including new lighting, flooring, wall coverings, and furniture. The second phase of the Westfield Inn Renovation project consisted of updating the remaining 29 guest rooms and suites.
Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Alarm System Upgrades
Beyond aesthetic enhancements, the project scope included upgrading the mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm systems. The improvements provide guests and staff with increased comfort and peace of mind.
Under Budget and On Time
In nine months, the Westfield Inn experienced a complete 60,000+ SF interior renovation, both under budget and on time. This feat required tremendous coordination and dedication to all parties involved. Simonson Construction Services, Inc. is excited to see how this project impacts the Westfield community.
